NEWS: WATER TANK FARM INSTALLED:
The Noble Park Bowls Club has received a grant for $50,000 from the Australian Government’s Water Fund (Community Water Grant Program) and a further $9,000 Grant from the Victorian Government to install a Water Tank Farm comprising four 22,700 Litre tanks which can harvest a total of 90,800 Litres. Community Water Grants provides funding for community groups to help save, reuse and improve the health of water in their local area.
The Farm will collect stormwater to water its greens, surrounds and flush toilets, and it is estimated that the Club would save around 2,000,000 Litres of water per year. Club Member Volunteers are on hand and Complete Irrigation Solutions is in the process of connecting to the sprinkler system and the toilets. The farm should be up and running within the next 2 weeks. A grand media release is planned for later in the year, invitations will be sent out to dignitaries from the Australian, State and Local Governments.
The Noble Park Bowls Club is proud that our greens are now watered using stormwater collect from the clubhouse roof and ground surface area.
