ENTERTAINMENT AT THE CLUB:

We bring the best performing artists to the club on a bi-monthly basis. These quality shows get booked fast so make sure you secure your booking early. From time to time, we also organise excursions and winery tours, so gather your friends and enjoy a great social day out in country Victoria.

The Club also hosts LIVE FREE ENTERTAINMENT (solo and duo artists) every Friday and Saturday nights, a great way to unwind at the week's end.

We are well equipped to host all types of functions, with three function rooms to suit various group sizes: The Main Lounge, the Blue & Gold Room and the Bowls Club room. We'll help you ensure your function is a success, whether you are planning a wedding, 21st party, christening, corporate event, business meeting, Christmas party or any other party. AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT:

Poker Machine Update

I am pleased to announce our Club has secured 50 gaming machine entitlements, which now guarantees we will enter the ten year entitlement period (2012 to 2022) with 50 poker machines, an overall increase of 4 machines.

We had previously purchased 40 entitlements and the final 10 entitlements were secured at the state government’s May 10 “Gaming Auction”.

The City of Greater Dandenong has also approved our Town Planning Application for the installation of the 4 additional machines.

This now clears the way for us to plan for the August 2012 implementation.
The opportunity afforded the Club through increased gaming revenues makes it imperative that we use this opportunity to ensure we achieve the greatest possible returns to make certain we can continue to provide on-going assistance to all our Affiliated Clubs.

To achieve this, your Board will immediately commence a planning process which will include a review of the current gaming room and the various options available to enable the Club to create a facility that is comparable or better than any other in the area.

New ‘Electronic’ Scoreboard

For several years we have been talking about installing an electronic scoreboard for use by both Football and Cricket Clubs. Following discussions with the Dingley Village Community Bank Branch of the Bendigo Bank regarding sponsorship, we have been able to install a state-of-art LED scoreboard that provides detailed game information for both football and cricket.

The Bendigo Bank’s support for this has been supplemented by donations from the Social Club, the football Past Players & Officials, and the City of Greater Dandenong, through the good efforts of our local councillor, Roz Blades.

The Dingley Village Community Bank is also looking at other sponsorship opportunities with the Social Club and our Affiliated Clubs.

Refurbished Change Rooms

Both Football and Cricket Clubs are pleased with the repainted and updated change rooms, which was completed recently and includes new roller door partitions between home and visiting teams. The two clubs worked hard to achieve the results and special thanks to Peter Gregorio, Manager of Haymes Paints in Dandenong, for donating 130 litres of paint and to the volunteers who worked on the project.
